When it comes to makeup and women of colour in Australia, the two are often treated as mutually exclusive by leading retailers. But that’s all about to change. Kleur is challenging the mainstream cosmetics industry by representing women with diverse skin tones.
This year’s festival will be ’Celebrating Indigenous Films Under the Milkyway’, featuring curated works by Australian and international Indigenous filmmakers, from Thursday 23 – Sunday 26 November 2017 at Event Cinema George Street, Sydney.
Art in Colour is a web series celebrating and promoting People of Colour working in the Australian arts industry.
The series delves into the prejudice faced by POC artists and encourages ethnically diverse creatives to claim their space in the mainstream arts landscape.
The importance of Pacific Runway in Australia is more than the stunning fashion walking down that runway. It is a platform of acceptance and inclusion. It embraces a culture that Australia is not too familiar with and allows young creatives to tell their story through their work, designs, styling and the fierce walks down the runway.
